The crunch heard around the world
Thin discs of urad dal dough, rolled and dried the traditional way, then roasted or fried into shattering crispness at the table. The papad is India's universal starter — served in every home and every curry house on earth.
How to use
Roast one at a time over an open flame or dry tawa for a few seconds each side, turning with tongs.
Or deep-fry for 2–3 seconds until fully expanded, or microwave 30–60 seconds on high.
Serve as a starter with chutneys, crush over chaat, or top with onion-tomato masala for masala papad.
Store the packet sealed in a dry place so the papads stay crisp.
