Vision & Mission

What guides us

Two sentences that decide what we make, how we make it and who we make it for.

Our Vision

To be a globally trusted food brand and leading exporter of authentic Indian food.

Our Mission

To deliver authentic Indian food that is delicious, convenient, and high in quality.

Quality

Quality at every step

Authentic taste is a process, not a promise. Every pack that leaves Bardoli passes through the same five stages, worked to the food safety systems we are audited against.

01 Freshly delivered fruit being graded and washed at the Bardoli intake bay

Raw material sorting

Fruit, vegetables and spices are graded and sorted on arrival, so only material that meets our specification moves forward.

02 Plant staff at the hand-wash and hygiene station before entering the processing hall

Hygienic processing

Preparation and cooking follow documented food safety procedures under our BRCGS and ISO 22000 systems.

03 Jars moving through the automated filling and sealing carousel

Automated filling & sealing

Automated lines fill, seal and code each pack, holding fill weights and seal quality steady batch after batch.

04 A batch sample being checked in the in-house quality laboratory

In-house checks & testing

Batches are checked against recipe and quality parameters, with test reports prepared where the destination market requires them.

05 Released pickle jars being packed and cased for export

Export QC & documentation

Final quality release is followed by the export paperwork — invoice, packing list, Certificate of Origin, health certificates and test reports.

70%

70% of our operations are powered by solar and wind energy, and more than 300 women are employed across the plant — the same investment mindset that took a rice mill to an automated, audited production house.

Leadership

Promoters & Management

Vimal Agro is a family-led company. Three generations of the Nemani family have guided it from a single rice mill in 1975 to a Star Export House shipping SWAD foods to more than 45 countries — with the founding discipline unchanged: uncompromising quality, batch after batch.

Founder & Chairman

Shri Subhashchandra Nemani, Founder & Chairman
Five decades, one standard

In 1975, Subhashchandra Nemani started with a modest rice mill in Bardoli and a conviction that quality needs no shortcuts. Over five decades, his hard work and quiet discipline built that mill into SWAD — a food house whose pickles, pulp and ready meals now sit on shelves in more than 45 countries. Three generations of the family still work to the standard he set: make it the way you would serve it at home.

“Our aim has been to provide the taste of our motherland, of our India, to the millions of people who have left its shores and yearn for the native taste. They say that the fastest way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and nothing sweetens the agony of nostalgia more than a satisfied stomach. Indian food is getting popular even among foreign races. We shall continue to augment our range and strive towards perfecting our products to satisfy an ever-increasing and discerning demand, making “SWAD” synonymous with taste and quality.”

Our Journey

Five decades in the making

From a small rice mill to a food house exporting across continents.

Humble Beginnings — From a Modest Rice Mill to a Vision of Excellence 1975

Humble Beginnings

From a Modest Rice Mill to a Vision of Excellence

Nearly half a century ago, our story began with the gentle rhythm of a small rice mill — not in grandeur, but in grace. In a world that often chose volume over value, our founders chose a different path: uncompromising purity. That humble mill became the cradle of our philosophy, where integrity, craftsmanship, and devotion to community were not merely ideals, but daily practice.

The Birth of SWAD — Where Authenticity Found Its Name 1988

The Birth of SWAD

Where Authenticity Found Its Name

1988 marked a defining moment in our journey. Building upon our roots in milling, we created a dedicated, high-capacity food processing house — and with it, "Swad" was born. More than a brand, Swad became an embodiment of taste, authenticity, and refined Indian culinary heritage.

Global Horizons & Kesar Mango — When an Iconic Fruit Became a Global Emotion 1990–92

Global Horizons & Kesar Mango

When an Iconic Fruit Became a Global Emotion

The early nineties ushered in our signature masterpiece — Kesar Mango Pulp. Golden, aromatic, and evocative of Indian summers, it redefined our trajectory. As we entered the markets of the United States and the United Kingdom, Swad became more than a flavour; it became a feeling of home for the diaspora and an exotic discovery for the world.

The Global Footprint Expands — From a Brand to a World Presence 2000

The Global Footprint Expands

From a Brand to a World Presence

With the dawn of a new millennium, Swad evolved into a name synonymous with Indian culinary elegance across 25+ nations. A refined distribution network ensured that whether in London, New York or Dubai, every consumer experienced the same sun-ripened perfection.

Strategic Growth & Automation — Precision, Technology, and Taste in Perfect Harmony 2008–12

Strategic Growth & Automation

Precision, Technology, and Taste in Perfect Harmony

To meet extraordinary demand while preserving artisanal care, we embraced state-of-the-art automation. Technology became our ally, not our substitute — guaranteeing that every pack met rigorous international standards while retaining the soul of handcrafted tradition.
