The fragrance of the foothills
True basmati grows in the Himalayan foothills and announces itself before the lid comes off — nutty, floral, unmistakable. Long grains that cook up separate and fluffy make it the only rice a biryani or pulao deserves.
How to use
Rinse the rice 2–3 times until the water runs clear, then soak for 20–30 minutes.
Cook with 1.5 parts water to 1 part rice — simmer covered until the water is absorbed.
Rest 5 minutes off the heat, then fluff gently with a fork to separate the grains.
Pairs perfectly with SWAD ready-to-cook sauces, dal and biryani recipes.
